A success story - From jobseeking to employment

An inspiring journey

We are pleased to share the story of Marc, a participant who found a job with support from La Cravate Solidaire Belgique.

Marc's journey

Marc, 28, had been looking for work for more than six months. Without significant professional experience, he struggled to get through job interviews.

Discovering La Cravate Solidaire

"A friend told me about La Cravate Solidaire. I was a little sceptical at first, but I decided to give it a try."

Marc attended one of our interview preparation workshops in March 2023.

The workshop that changed everything

"The workshop was a revelation. I understood that it wasn't only about skills, but also presentation and self-confidence."

During the workshop, Marc:

• Received personalised communication advice
• Practised a mock interview to identify areas for improvement
• Received suitable professional clothing
• Benefited from individual follow-up

The result

Three weeks after the workshop, Marc secured a job at a local company in Charleroi.

"Thanks to the professional clothing and advice, I approached my interview with much more confidence. The employer even mentioned that my professional presentation had made the difference."

The impact of our support

Marc's experience illustrates the impact of our work:

• Self-confidence: Advice and practice strengthened his confidence.
• Professional presentation: Suitable clothing improved his first impression.
• Skills: The techniques he learned helped him present himself more effectively.
